Such a good natured little girl who learned how to get cuddles very quickly. Working in people’s gardens with their pets is genuinely one of the highlights of my job.
Requires a quick little cuddle every half hour and often does not get out of bed until he is good and ready. Never hesitates to sit EXACTLY where you are trying to work but otherwise A VERY GOOD BOY!
She’s fast, incredibly fast. She’s a dab paw at nicking things. So much so I have just bought a gardening apron to circumvent her efforts. She likes a cuddle, but also likes jumping over things and sitting on overwintering lavender so it messes with the shape I’ve cut it to. She is quite the best little girl there is.
She is an older lady with a very good sense of what’s what. Of course I got down on my hands and knees to see what she was looking at. She was having me on
Gardening is surely an ideal profession for the woman who likes it. The work is not so heavy as to put too great a strain on her physical capacity; and in the more expert branches the possibilities and range of interest is really unlimited
My abiding principle is to to make sure my clients feel that their gardens are their gardens and I am just here to do the jobs they need and want doing. When they start apologising for putting compost in the wrong bit, it’s time to readjust!
I don’t currently have availability for ongoing work, but I am working on some designs for the new season so if you think I can be of help, please do get in touch. I will be sure to let you know in no time at all if I have some extra capacity. February 2020
A lamb in the hand… quite shy but had very attentive Spaniel custodians, this lamb has the SIT IN THE WAY Method down pat
My father used to say there was no such thing as can’t so I do try to say yes to everything, but at a push I would say that two feet on the ground is generally better for all and I do have specialists I can call on to do the other stuff. For instance an amazing chap who does hedges and fencing, and a mower chap who takes great pride in his work
A wildflower meadow sounds a great idea, until the true amount of work reveals itself. But this is an amazing way to get that feel, without the need for a mini digger and a few tonnes of new top soil.
